Using your help this was fixed quickly. Go to original post. I have the same question Show 0 Likes 0. I can’t see anywhere this driver for ESXi 6. Import this and apply it emulx your Emulex card will start working and you can take your hosts up to ESXi 6.
After spending hours on the phone with VMWare support they pointed me to Emulex. I’m posting emupex so others might not have to spend hours on the line with support figuring this out. I had been looking for the right VIB for a couple of hours and finally found this post.
You can lpe11000–e post a blank message. Have been spending the last 3 hours trying to get an older LPe running, and this VIB saved the day.
Three years later and you’re still helping people. Please refer to the log file for more details. I know that the “lpe ” card is not supported on ESXI 6.
I wish I found this sooner. My environment is older and has the Emulex LPe hba cards. It is also work on vmware 6. I was able to find the attached VIB here. Please type your message and try again. Solved it for me too. And just to give everyone the Best chance of success, despite VMware not supporting the chipset.
